One of the pillars for achieving success in life is reading, an active reading that has an important ingredient of thinking in it. And together can lead you to the path of success and satisfaction. Reading is that skill in which an individual has to catch every sort of communication as well as possible. Reading allows us to uplift ourselves from less understanding state to more understanding state in a very skilled manner.

Reading more specific increases the size of information carrying bag we hold and thinking wisely on those information which we stored by reading converts it into the facts and developing this thinking - while reading skill enables us to convert those facts and information into more useable, practically applicable format called "Knowledge". And this knowledge helps us to take better decision in life and live the life with more satisfaction.

Mastering this reading and thinking skills allows us to apply that useable form of information called Knowledge into various domains or the selected of our interest in the most effective manner producing the most reliable result of our understanding.

Next important question that arises is what to read and how to read. Simply reading other opinions will definitely effect the perception you hold. People have the tendency to grab other opinions and make it their own. But it doesn't work. It affects the growth and thinking abilities of that person. Making that person disabled by thinking and dependent on others. Those people start developing the different layers on themselves and eventually forget what they were in the core form. And at the end ruins the life and enjoyment of living it.

Even the life of the most successful person should be taken as a direction - to build an own road to reach destiny of satisfaction and success, to build own bridge to cross a particular problem and to develop an own perception to simply the LIFE.

Basically reading should be an active process rather than merely a stable movement of eyes on black ink scrambled pages. While reading it's always important to understand what author wants to convey. Because books are the passive teachers, they will teach you to the extent of your efforts. Books read actively will uplift you from less understanding state to more understanding state with the power of Thinking.
